So obviously I hardly write on this, but I have a tumblr (jillik.tumblr.com) and its updated way more often than this. Although I post random shananigans on there, just like everyone else on there!
Lets just hope 2010 will be a good one.

Its been sometime.
Basically its been ages since I have posted something. And to be honest my posts aren't those that would interest people. Lots of things has been happening with my life and I might post about it.
Here is a synopsis of what has been happening...
Johnnie Walker Join The Pact Campaign.
As most people know, Johnnie Walker has started a Never Drink And Drive Campaign with Mika Hakkinen, Lewis Hamilton and the Caparo T1. It is a race between Hakkinen and Hamilton to gather as much signatures as possible. Hakkinen visited Malaysia to get his signatures over 3 days in Kuala Lumpur.
How does this connect with me? Well *self absorbed* I got the pleasure to be an intern with a PR company (Compass Communications) who was helping with the event. Seeing all the behind-the-scenes work was definably something I won't forget.
Day 1: It was basically the press, mags and media etc who were invited to see the unveiling of the Caparo T1 with also a bit of Q&A.
Day 2: In the afternoon there was the demo run which happened around Sunway Pyramid. A few lucky celebs and winners were chosen to ride in the Caparo T1 with their designated driver Mika Hakkinen. In the evening, it was the party (there always has to be one) and so everyone can put the Never Drink and Drive rules to practice.
Day 3: This is when the real run happened in Sepang F1 Circuit. Other celebs, winners and media were chosen to ride in the car with Hakkinen. Soon people noticed that only 1 lady got to ride in the car that day.
All in all it was an extremely meaningful message that was put across to people. As the passengers got out of the Caparo T1 each of them basically said: The Caparo T1 is such a fast car that you do need someone like Mika Hakkinen to be in control. So people stay in control and get a designated driver.
Shark Week.
In conjunction with Discovery Channel Shark Week, Ean from hitz.fm did a dive at KLCC Aquaria. Since JJ from hitz.fm chickened out, I took his place and dived as Spiderman.
It was quite a small world as the diver who was in charge of Ean and I learnt how to dive from the same dive master and me. He then made Ean and I watch two videos about the fish in the tank. Once we entered the water I have to admit that the tank was rather small for all those sharks and fish.
Overall it was a fun experience.
James Richardson Logan.
My family and I were invited to the revealing of the plaque to the statue of James Richardson Logan in Penang, Malaysia as we are related to him. J.R. Logan was a lawyer who helped that people of Penang with human rights etc. He died due to malaria as he loved to travel a lot. He also helped to name Indonesia as people were going to name it something else.
It didn't take so long to do the whole speeches, revealing etc etc. It actually went rather quick. Everyone was then invited for tea at a restaurant just a few steps away from the statue.
Thanks to the Penang Heritage Trust for making the effort to keep the memorial statue.
Its not the best of updates and explaining about events but maybe I might upload pictures of each one.

too damn lazy.
10:40pm the work is spread all over the floor and I'm sitting in the only clearing. I just don't feel like doing any of that stuff like how everyone normally does. Presentation tomorrow and other things on my mind are much more important to worry about. I don't see the point of even finishing the work. Its useless and won't take me anywhere in life, it is basically everything I did when I was 12. Its easy, too easy, so easy to a point that I just can't be bothered to do it, its not worth my time. I'd rather sit and type about crap rather than do it. Typing out word after word which nobody is going to read.
The move to Malaysia has brought me a new apple laptop, a new car, a tv in my room, and clothes that I could never afford before. All of this without spending a cent of my money. But it hasn't brought me happiness. My step dad feels bad that we moved but to be honest I could have stayed in England, but that wasn't really an option really. Each time we moved countries it was at the right times and so we reaped the benefits and I thank god for that. I am just one person who can't even walk on her own feet and depends on her parents for everything. My parents are the people who have to look after themselves plus others in the family so they deserve their say. I'm talking rubbish. I don't even know what I'm doing anymore. I know nothing.
I need to do this work, presentation tomorrow. But my emotions are taking over. My thoughts on situations that I can't change. Those pills were the only things keeping me going before. I thought I didn't need them anymore. I was wrong. I know I will never be happy but lets try and get happy, even if its just for a moment.

Sore Throat

Well it started as a sore throat but then it got farrrr worse. Thing is that it happened one day after another.
Day 1: Had sore throat so took lozenges, gargled salt water... the usual.
Day 2: Much harder to swallow food and drinks so visited doctor and was given medicines to solve a bad sore throat. Apparently the back of my throat was really red and sore.
Day 3: Felt much worse. Much harder to swallow anything, even spit. Was heating up bad and had to take a couple of showers to cool down. Visited doctor again and was given antibiotics and panadol for the fever.
Day 4: Felt like total crap. Refused to eat or drink because it hurt so bad. Burning up so bad that even took at least 4 showers. Visited the doctor yet again and was given and injection. Had to be done through a tube... kinda like a drip, so that my vein doesn't collapse. Apparently there was a pus ball building up at the back of my throat... gross.
Day 5: Damn much better :)
I dumped the medicines on my bed so that its easier for me to get them since when I was at my worst I didn't even want to get up. The stuff just piled up on my bed. Must have spent at least 300 bucks for it all and all I actually needed was the injection and antibiotics. I'm sure the other bits helped to make me better too. Missed the start of this semester of uni. Too bad... anyways its a proper crap uni so who gives.

happily ever after.
Stories. When we were young we were told stories with happy endings and delight. We were forced to believe that the world is all happy with good people and everything is easy. These were all lies and that is why we call them Fairy Tales and make believe. Being taught such things that when we grow up we are walking with what we have learnt and so the world ends up being everything we hoped it wouldn't be. We become disappointed and angry inside. We feel let down and end up joining the army of destroyers and chaos. However, we fail to think why people have written these Fairy Tales and make believe stories. This is because the authors believe that if each one of us tries for the better then we shall all have a happy ending. If we fight off our demons, resist temptation and treat others right then we shall be happy.

Where you are.
Moving from one country to another can create problems in your mind. Emotions run wild and you're not yourself anymore. I've moved so many times in my whole life that I don't even know where home is. I want to have a comfort zone where I feel safe and know that this is where I truly belong. This whole time I feel as if I'm on guard 24/7, thrown into uncharted territory and somehow only pulling traitors towards me. I have found people I can call friends who help others in times of need and not for money but just for a true smile on the other person face. This is how people should be like but over time as our brains have evolved we have forgotten our values.
